Travel Awards for Medical Students

The School of Medicine offers a number of travel awards for medical students to attend conferences to present their work.  The maximum amount awarded per student to contribute towards the cost of registration or travel is £200.
How to apply for a Medical Student Travel Award
If you have had a poster or an abstract accepted by conference organisers you can apply for a travel award.  To apply for funding please submit a request with a letter from the conference organisers confirming that you are presenting and a copy of your abstract to the School Manager, Mrs Fiona Brown (f.v.brown@dundee.ac.uk) or to the International Admin Lead, Dr David Russell (d.russell@dundee.ac.uk).
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for a Medical Student Travel Award are:
  1. You must be registered with the University of Dundee for an undergraduate degree in the School of Medicine
  2. You may not have received a Medical Student Travel Award previously (students can only receive this award once)
  3. A copy of your abstract and a copy of acceptance to attend the conference should be included in the application
Conditions of Payment
In order to receive the award, students must provide evidence of expenses (e.g. receipts for travel tickets purchased).  In addition, students are required to complete a non-staff expense form and return it to the School Manager, Mrs Fiona Brown (f.v.brown@dundee.ac.uk) or to the International Admin Lead, Dr David Russell (d.russell@dundee.ac.uk).
